With an incredible turnout this year, the San Bernardino Forestry Challenge Session 2 had 102 students from 13 schools in attendance. The last event of the season reminded us that fall becomes winter, with a snowstorm moving in on Friday during field testing. Students didn’t let that stop them from posting some of the highest test scores of the season. The focus topic was Mixed Conifer-Oak Woodland Forest Restoration at Hubert Eaton Scout Reservation. Students collected data at the Big Horn Camp area to determine species composition and recommend areas of the property to replicate this forest community.
The results below are out of a possible 250 points:

- Third Place: Oceanside High School Team #18, 213.7 points
- Fourth Place: Palisades Charter Team #11, 210.8 points
